Position Summary





The F&B Event Supervisor is responsible for personally creating positive encounters with guests and will lead their team to deliver consistent, memorable, world class experiences. This position will supervise staff and delegate front of house duties during an event, ensure client expectations and event timelines are understood and the event is executed smoothly, liaise with various internal groups to ensure event requirements are met and provide on-the-job training to new employees and ensure each employee is well-versed in the menu.



The F&B Event Supervisor positions available are casual part-time positions that will require the successful candidate to work flexible hours throughout the week. With expanding business 24 hour coverage is required.


Responsibilities




Interact with guests and team members to ensure satisfaction and personalized service while identifying opportunities to improve guest experience Monitor events to ensure all guests receive exceptional customer service Respond quickly and proactively to all employee and guest concerns Lead teams to maintain a clean and safe work space for all guests and colleagues to ensure CS standards and industry regulations are followed Work closely with F&B Sr. Event Supervisors and F&B Team Leads to ensure that all client expectations and event timelines are well understood, and events are executed smoothly As assigned, act as the main F&B contact throughout the set up and delivery of event service - liaise with client on meal service timing etc. Monitor catering service staff to ensure they are following departmental standards and operating procedures at all times Work with F&B Team Leads in organizing set up, service and tear down of all events in a timely manner Ensure effective communication between FOH and BOH to ensure smooth execution on the day of the event Ensure service staff are knowledgeable of menu items being served and are accommodating all special requests including allergies and dietary needs Ensure all constructive feedback is received from the F&B Team Leads and communicated to the Sr. Event Supervisor Ensure catering post-event evaluations are being completed by F&B Team Leads with detailed feedback Assist with formal staff training of the catering department and orientation Organize pre-function and post-event shift meetings, ensuring meetings are informative and motivational Build strong team relations and ensure the work of others is recognized and rewarded

Qualifications





The ideal candidate will be proactive, optimistic and have worked in a dynamic environment where they have experience delivering on multiple priorities and will hold the following qualifications:


Minimum of 2 years catering or restaurant experience in a supervisory role Exceptional communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently in groups or one on one conversation. Must be available to work weekends and holidays, including early morning or late evening shifts. Must be able to lift, carry and balance heavy oval trays a distance of 30 m ProServe Liquor Training and Alberta Food Safety Certification High school or equivalent education 18 years of age or older
