Fast Cross Border Driver
Job Description
About the Role:
T.E. Smith Transport & Logistics is looking for a dedicated FAST-approved Sprinter Van Driver ready to live on the road and run freight across North America. This position is best suited for someone who thrives on travel, flexibility, and being out on the road long-term.
Responsibilities:
Operate a company-provided Sprinter van for expedited freight deliveries.
Cross-border runs between Canada and the U.S. (must be FAST approved).
Maintain communication with dispatch and follow scheduled routes.
Handle freight with care and ensure on-time delivery.
Comply with safety and company policies at all times.
Requirements:
MUST be FAST Approved (mandatory for cross-border expedited work).
Minimum 2 years of proven cross-border driving experience.
Valid driver's license with a clean abstract.
Flexible and willing to go anywhere in North America on short notice.
Comfortable living on the road for extended periods.
Sprinter Van Pay Structure
For trips ? 500 miles (loaded miles):
$0.40 per mile (CAD)
Includes border crossings (FAST preferred) Additions:$25
per extra pick/drop;$25
FAST/port-of-entry bonus per crossing;$25
overnight layover;$40/hr
detention after 2 free hoursFor trips < 500 miles (loaded miles):
25% of linehaul revenue
Minimum trip pay:
$150 CAD
(whichever is higher: % or minimum) Same adders as above (stops, FAST bonus, detention, layover)Deadhead:
