Fashion Import International Traffic Coordinator

Job Description
Our client is a leading fashion distributor based in Montreal. They are looking for an experienced and qualified traffic coordinator to add to their team. You will work closely with traffic manager in all areas of shipping and logistics.
Responsibilities:
- Deal with issues regarding inspections, acquiring certificates, ensuring all shipping labels are correct as per vendor agreements.
- Ensure timely deliveries, coordinate deliveries of inventories from warehouse
- Handle communications and shipping requirements with suppliers overseas regarding production
- Request price quotes from competing forwarders, negotiate prices
- Work with traffic manager in all areas of shipping and logistics
- Track shipments from, trouble shoot, ensure timely delivery dates
- Negotiate prices with freight forwarders
- Minimum 3-5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience working as a traffic coordinator for a fashion importer
- Experience working with international shipments
- To compensate with time zones overseas, some communications will be done in evening hours
- Organization and respect of timelines are critical
- Knowledge of Microsoft EXCEL
- Prior experience with EDI and ACCPAC accounting system - an asset
- Ability to multi-task with a sense of organization and priority
- Attention to detail
