Dutch Growers Home & Garden is looking for a Boutique Assistant Manager to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position for someone who enjoys retail, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to take on growing responsibilities.
You'll begin by supporting sales and customer service on the floor. As you gain confidence in the role, you'll gradually take on more leadership and supervisory tasks, working closely with the Store Manager to keep the department running smoothly each day.
What You'll Do (Phase One: Sales and Service Focus)
Deliver exceptional customer service at checkout and on the floor
Assist customers with styling, fit, product selection, and upselling
Maintain the boutique's appearance and merchandising standards
Build confidence in our products, systems, and team culture
Support the team with day-to-day tasks and communication
What You'll Grow Into (Phase Two: Leadership and Oversight)
Delegate and manage daily task lists with the sales team
Help train new hires using our training booklet and guidelines
Provide coaching on product knowledge, customer service, and merchandising
Support scheduling by covering call-ins or rearranging shifts when needed
Assist with restocking, merchandising updates, and backstock rotation
Help handle customer complaints and returns within department policies
Observe and recommend improvements to customer experience or workflow
Merchandize jewelry and accessories displays to reflect promotions and brand focus
What We're Looking For
Retail experience, ideally in fashion or boutique settings
Strong communication and decision-making skills
A self-starter with a positive attitude and attention to detail
Ability to motivate a team and maintain high service standards
Availability for some evenings and weekends, especially during peak seasons
Compensation
Compensation will be discussed during the interview and will reflect experience and performance.
