Reporting to the Founders our Farmers Market Team Members are responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience at Farmers Markets across Calgary and the wider area. This role requires a passion for craft cider, a positive attitude, and the ability to deliver a vibrant and engaging experience for customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Experience:
Create a welcoming, friendly and engaging atmosphere for customers.
Tell the Uncommon story and represent the brand in a positive light to new and returning customers.
Using product expertise, sell and recommend suitable products to customers, including cider and merchandise.
Pour samples.
Maintain Cleanliness:
Maintain a clean, neat and organized environment.
Ensure food-safe handling and storage practices.
Product Knowledge and Education:
Possess in-depth knowledge of our packaged ciders, including ingredients, tasting notes, and production techniques.
Stay informed about new product releases and special offerings to provide accurate information to customers.
Attend staff training sessions and meetings.
Set up and break down:
Load product, market booth and other required items from storage location.
Set-up our market booth inline with brand and market guidelines.
Break down and pack up at the end of the market, leaving the site as per market organisers guidelines.
Return and unload product to storage.
Restock product and consumables to par levels in preparation for the next market.
Cash & Inventory Management:
Ensure all cash handling policies & procedures are adhered to.
Record market inventory transfers.
Team Collaboration:
Collaborate with other staff members and cidery personnel to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.
Communicate effectively with colleagues to address any issues that may arise.
Ensure a smooth handover between shifts.
Key Skills and Qualifications
:
ProServe certificate.
Own vehicle.
Class 5 license and clean abstract.
Available to work weekends.
Experience in a serving role within the hospitality or craft alcohol industry.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Self starter and ability to work independently.
Familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
Passion for cider and a keen understanding of the craft alcohol market.
