We are seeking an energetic, motivated and customer-oriented market associate to join our team. In this position, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our customers while promoting our products and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. This position requires strong communication skills, a passion for sales, and the ability to manage time effectively in a retail environment.

Duties

Drive to an Ottawa area farmers' market from our farm in Spencerville. Set up market stall with pop-up tents, tables, banner, table cloths, signage, buckets of pre-wrapped bouquets and other flower products. Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs. Provide knowledgeable information about products to enhance customer experience. Operate the POS system efficiently, handling transactions accurately. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the market stall and product displays. Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and enhance performance. Pack up at the end of the day and drive back to the farm.

Experience

Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not mandatory. Strong proficiency in English and some knowledge of French is an asset. Multilingual skills are a plus. Familiarity with basic math skills for handling transactions accurately. Proven ability in upselling and POS functions is advantageous. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment. A passion for providing outstanding customer service and fostering positive relationships with customers.

Pay: $17.20-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
