We are currently recruiting for an Intermediate or Senior Farm Underwriter with a proven track record and extensive experience in farm underwriting.

Position Responsibilities:

Assess and evaluate risks within the farm lines portfolio Rating/pricing of risks using sound underwriting judgment Negotiation of renewal terms and new quotes Process new policies, renewals, and endorsements per our underwriting guidelines Develop and maintain effective relationships with our broker partners Provide product training and support to brokers Excellent attention to detail with the ability to review information carefully & comprehensively Mentor junior underwriting staff aiding in their career development Meet company service standards in a prompt and efficient manner

Qualifications:

Strong decision-making skills and ability to bring creativity to underwriting risks Well organized and thorough approach to completing tasks Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal Post-Secondary education 5+ years of farm underwriting experience CIP designation or actively pursuing
