Tasks

Develop specific plans to prioritize Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed Maintain quality control and production records Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations Hire and train staff Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment Supervise staff or team Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems Notify supervisor or mechanic of equipment malfunctions Manage overall operation of farm Maintain daily log of operation, maintenance and safety activities Maintain equipment and instruments Ensure compliance with government regulations Develop and implement policies and procedures for daily operations Develop and maintain cost findings, reporting and internal control procedure Analyze incoming and outgoing memoranda, submissions and reports Manage incidents Review HR directives to assure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations Participate in staff meetings Direct the operations of an organization or department that provides services Coordinate planting and cultivating activities
