Tasks

Organize tasks to accomplish the work Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying or harvesting Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed Maintain quality control and production records Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations Maintain work records and logs Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment Perform general farm duties Train workers in duties and policies Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality Prepare, administer and grade assigned work Maintain internal record-keeping system Maintain daily log of operation, maintenance and safety activities Complete reports to record problems and work performed Train other workers Ensure safety procedures are followed Coordinate planting and cultivating activities
