Are you ready to join a dedicated team and work in the great outdoors? Hopcott Farms is looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic Farm Hand Laborer to support our daily operations. Key Responsibilities:

Crop Production:

Assist with planting, cultivating, and harvesting various crops.

Livestock Care:

Feed and care for livestock, ensuring their health and well-being.

Comfortable Working in Grimy/Grubby Conditions:

Composting slaughterhouse waste from our onsite abattoir, pumping blood for transport, cleaning holding pens and other jobs on that nature.

Farm Maintenance:

Perform general farm maintenance tasks, including repairing fences, maintaining irrigation systems, and basic building repairs.

Equipment Operation:

Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment under supervision.

General Labor:

Handle a variety of manual labor tasks, such as lifting, digging, and cleaning.

Health Monitoring:

Help monitor the health of crops and livestock, reporting any issues promptly.

Safety Compliance:

Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Deliveries:

Use company truck to make deliveries of food, hay and manure to customer sites.

Qualifications:

Previous farming or agricultural experience is required Previous experience working with cattle including feedings Strong work ethic and willingness to perform physically demanding tasks. Ability to operate and maintain basic farm machinery and tools. Basic knowledge of animal care and crop cultivation is advantageous. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when needed. Must have a valid BC drivers license with a clean driving record. Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed. A passion for agriculture and a positive, can-do attitude.
