Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver/Equipment operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping seed, harvest and transport grains to market. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation and mechanical knowledge, as well as the ability to perform heavy lifting and maintain equipment.

Responsibilities

Operate trucks to transport goods and materials to designated locations. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload cargo, utilizing appropriate heavy equipment and hand tools. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Assist in the maintenance of trucks and other farm machinery, ensuring they are in good working condition. Collaborate with team members to coordinate delivery schedules and routes. Utilize power tools for loading/unloading tasks as necessary.

Experience

Proven experience as a truck driver or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including farm machinery, is a must. Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on vehicles is essential. Ability to perform heavy lifting and operate hand tools effectively. Basic math skills for calculating distances, weights, and load capacities are required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.55-$38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
