Job Description

Cavendish Farms is looking for Seasonal Farm Equipment Operator for our Seed Potato Farm located in Juniper, NB.


It is a

SEASONAL

position from mid September for approximately 4 weeks

Work Schedule

: 7 days a week, 10-14 hours per day

Work Location:

Juniper, NB.


All operations are local to Juniper, NB.



A positive attitude. Safely operate farm tractors and implements, including various tillage implements. Ability to effectively communicate with management and co-workers. Preform daily equipment maintenance; ensuring all components are functioning properly. Contribute to the team's goals and provide feedback on how to better operations. General labour duties like potato grading, disinfecting equipment, cleaning buildings/yard, etc. when needed. Please note this role is a blend of equipment operation duties and all the other duties depending on the business needs.

Experience operating tractors, harvesters, windrowers or other heavy farm equipment. Ability to lift 50lbs. Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, team environment. Availability to work extended hours, evenings, and weekends. Willingness to work outdoors in mixed weather conditions. Mechanical aptitude. High degree of attention to detail. Previous experience working in farm operations would be an asset.
