Family Support Workers

In this rewarding role, you will work directly with families and children to provide life-skills mentoring, supervised visitations, and transportation services. Your efforts will play a crucial part in preserving family units and upholding child protection standards, while supporting positive outcomes for some of our community's most vulnerable members.

Key Responsibilities:

Transport clients safely and punctually to and from appointments or visits Supervise family visitations in a professional and supportive manner Provide mentorship to clients, focused on developing specific life skills Complete detailed, accurate documentation and reports in a timely manner Ensure client safety and wellbeing at all times; intervene when necessary Maintain confidentiality and act as a professional representative in legal and court processes as required

Qualifications:

Post-secondary education in a relevant field (social work, human services, etc.) Valid driver's license Valid vehicle registration and insurance (minimum $1,000,000 liability) Clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check Clear Social Development Check and Driver's Abstract Previous experience in a similar role is an asset
