Family Respite Services (FRS) is a family-centered community agency, supporting families in Windsor-Essex who have children with disabilities. Our vision is a community where all parents are strong and all children belong. We assist families to have a short break from caregiving, provide coordination of services and help children and youth with disabilities participate in the community. We are looking for a dynamic individual to fill the position of: Family Coordinator Position As a member of the FRS team, the successful applicant will work collaboratively with families in our community to develop respite care options that give parents a short break and opportunities for children to be involved in the community. -Meeting with families to provide ongoing support -Assisting families to access related funding and services -Helping families to develop and implement respite/short break support Requirements: The successful candidate will have demonstrated competencies in supporting individuals and families, communication and problem solving. Travel to any area in Essex County to meet with families and direct support providers is a requirement. Degree in Social Work with experience in related social and mental health services.
