We are looking for four (4) full-time permanent Family Physicians, to provide family medicine services to the community on a walk-in basis and by appointment. The Family Physicians will be required to deliver comprehensive medical care to a diverse patient population in accordance with the highest standards of the medical profession and guidance of the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta. They will be expected to perform all duties associated with family care services, including:
Providing comprehensive primary healthcare to individuals across all age groups, including the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and ongoing management of a wide range of medical conditions, illnesses, and injuries.
Performing patient evaluations such as physical examinations, routine health assessments, and follow-up care for both acute and chronic conditions.
Carrying out minor medical procedures within the scope of family practice.
Prescribing appropriate medications and ordering, reviewing, and interpreting diagnostic tests, including laboratory work and medical imaging.
Promoting preventive care through patient education, vaccinations, and counselling on healthy lifestyle choices.
Ensuring medical documentation is thorough, accurate, and compliant with both clinic protocols and provincial regulatory requirements.
Work Location:
The Family Physicians will be expected to work full-time (at least 37 hours per week) at our Diagnostiks Medical - Spruce Grove clinic located at 110 Jennifer Heil Way #10, Spruce Grove, Alberta, T7X 3Z3. They will have the flexibility to determine their working hours within the operational timeframe of 8:00am to 10:00pm, seven days per week, with scheduling guided by patient needs and coordinated rotations with other physicians to ensure comprehensive coverage at our Spruce Grove clinic.
Qualifications:
The following qualifications are required:
Medical Degree.
Must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta.
Prior to starting practice, required to obtain medicolegal insurance with the Canadian Medical Protective Association, or with another carrier at their expense.
Must provide Criminal record check, Child and Adult abuse check prior to starting practice.
A minimum signed 3-year Service Commitment Agreement is required.
All duties will be performed in English.
Compensation:
Remuneration will be fee-for-services based on the existing agreement between Alberta Medical Association (AMA) and Alberta Health Services (AHS). Anticipated total annual compensation based on this model and practice size is approximately CAD$650,000 to CAD$850,000.

Relocation and settlement assistance package of up to CAD$5,000 offered. Retention bonus of CAD$5,000 at the end of 5-year contract.
