We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated full-time permanent Family Physician / Primary Care Provider to join our clinic. The Family Physician / Primary Care Provider will be required to provide medical services to a diverse patient population in accordance with the highest standards of the medical profession and as guided by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. They will be expected to perform all duties associated with family/primary care services, including:
Providing comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages - diagnosing, treating, and managing a broad range of common health conditions, disease, physiological disorders and injuries.
Conducting physical examinations, routine check-ups, and managing acute illnesses and chronic diseases.
Performing minor procedures as needed.
Prescribing medications, ordering and interpreting lab tests and diagnostic imaging.
Providing preventive health education, immunizations, and lifestyle counselling.
Maintaining accurate patient records in accordance with clinic and provincial standards.
Hours of Work:
The Family Physician / Primary Care Provider will be required to work at least 40 hours per week. Clinic hours may be customized by the physician, provided they fall between 9am and 8pm, Monday through Friday. As the clinic also offers certain healthcare services on the weekends, physicians are expected to participate in shared weekend coverage on a rotational basis. Weekend shifts form part of the required 40-hour work week.

Job Requirements:
The following qualifications are required:
Must have a Medical Degree from an approved university.
Must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba.
Must be eligible for licensure with College of Family Physicians of Canada.
Prior to starting practice, required to obtain medicolegal insurance with the Canadian Medical Protective Association, or with another carrier at their expense.
Must provide Criminal record check, Child and Adult abuse check prior to starting practice.
A signed 3-year Return of Service Agreement is required.
All duties will be performed in English.
Compensation:
Remuneration will be fee-for-service based on the existing agreement between Doctors Manitoba and Manitoba Healthy Living and Senior (MHHLS). Anticipated total annual compensation based on this model, and our practice size, is approximately CAD$400,000 to CAD$600,000.

Benefits:
The Family Physician / Primary Care Provider will be offered a retention benefit of CAD $5,000.00 for every service year worked, for up to a maximum of five (5) years of employment
