Duties
Provide comprehensive medical examinations and assessments for patients of all ages.
Diagnose and treat various medical conditions, with a focus on acute care and pain management.
Administer medications and manage treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as AVA and Accuro.
Conduct research to stay updated on the latest medical practices and advancements in patient care.
Collect and analyze data to improve patient outcomes and enhance service delivery.
Offer general medical and family care, ensuring that patients receive appropriate medical attention.
Engage in home care visits when necessary, providing support to patients in their own environments.
Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding health concerns, treatment options, and preventive measures.
Requirements
Medical degree from an accredited institution and valid medical license to practice in Alberta.
Previous hospital experience is preferred; familiarity with medical office settings is a plus.
Proficient in medical terminology and skilled in medication administration.
Experience with data collection methods for research purposes is advantageous.
Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and colleagues.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient care.
