About This Opportunity

The Ravines Medical Group has an immediate opening for full-time and part-time physicians at Spryfield Medical Clinic. This centrally located practice is located in Spryfield and is a short commute to central Halifax. It is comprised of 9 Family Physicians, a Nurse Practitioner and two Family Practice Nurses, whose services are equally shared amongst Physicians. The clinic is on the Med Access EMR, is professionally managed and fully supported by friendly administrative staff. The compensation structure for this position is the Alternative Payment Plan (APP).

The Ravines Medical Group takes care of the operational business of medicine for you such as billings, administrative staffing, management of referrals, management of vaccines, ordering of all supplies and general maintenance of the clinic. Your exam rooms and office space are fully equipped including EMR and computer hardware. We pride ourselves on providing the support for our physicians to provide medical services outside of the clinic to diversify and complement their family practice.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures
  • Advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention
  • Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners\'
  • Act as a patient\'s advocate
  • Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations
  • Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements

Qualifications
  • Eligible for Licensure with the
(CPSNS) * Eligible for certification with the
