About This Opportunity
Fall River Family Practice is a collaborative practice with 11 physicians and 2 family practice nurses. We are seeking a family physician to Locum, covering a maternity leave starting in November 2023 for 9-12 months duration. This equates to 4 - 4.5 days in clinic, approximately 1650 patients, MedAccess EMR, with low overhead. Hours could be flexible if looking for fewer. Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures
- Advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention
- Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners
- Act as a patient\'s advocate
- Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations
- Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements
0.8 FTE to 1.0 FTE
Qualifications
- Eligible for Licensure with the
(CFPC) (CMPA)
