About This Opportunity

The community of Bass River is seeking 1.5 family physicians for the West Colchester Community Health Centre. These are full scope practices, providing care for patients at all stages of life. Independent practice, Alternate Payment Plan

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Ensure delivery of comprehensive primary health care services to practice patients of all ages and stage of health or illness
• Provide a full scope of services

Expected Hours

• full-time, part-time, locum
• 37.50 hours per week
• 46 weeks per year

Qualifications

• eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
• eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
• Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)

Bass River is a small, tight knit community nestled “along the shore” of Cobequid Bay.The Along the Shore area includes several recreational sites – ball fields, indoor rink and outdoor rinks, parks and hiking. West Colchester Community Health Centre is adjacent to the communities Guardian Bayside Pharmacy and local post office. The population “along the shore” is approximately 5,078 Many of the residents of Bass River work in the nearby large town of Truro.
