Your Opportunity:
Under the supervision of the Manager, the Calgary Eating Disorder Program, and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, the Family Counsellor will provide assessment, treatment/case management to clients who are dealing with an eating disorder and their families. Primary modalities of treatment include family and group therapy. Position is based at ACH (day treatment services), however, supports treatment services at RRDTC (outpatient services) and FMC (inpatient services) as required. Functions as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Maintains clinical records and completes workload measurement statistics in a timely and efficient manner. Utilizes standardized tests and measures to supplement clinical interviewing as required. Acts as a case manager, ensuring needed professional referrals are made, information is shared appropriately, and an integrated approach to the treatment is followed. Carries an advanced clinical caseload and as such offers treatment in the form of individual, family and group therapy, for clients with an eating disorder and their families. Participates in both clinical and administrative team meetings. Performs other related duties as delegated. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. You will collaborate with other health care providers and community service providers to ensure a continuum of care in the community.
