Job Description

Yorktown Family Services is seeking a Family, Child, Youth and Young Adult Therapist program to provide a comprehensive range of mental health services for children, youth and families who are experiencing serious emotional/social/behavioral difficulties along with several gender-based violence initiatives. The Family, Child, Youth, and Young Adult Therapist will be responsible for the provision of CBTp for young adults up to the age of 29 who have experienced psychosis in collaboration with Humber River Hospital and the Care Navigation Team.

Major Responsibilities:



Deliver CBTp treatment to young adults experiencing psychosis, primarily first-episode cases referred through Humber River Hospital (HRH) Psychiatry programs. Travel to HRH and community partner sites as needed (e.g., hospital rounds) to support client care and interagency collaboration. Build and maintain professional relationships with HRH referring partners to ensure effective referrals and seamless continuity of care. Provide a range of clinical services including individual, family, and group counselling; brief therapy; trauma assessments; and TF-CBT treatment, with potential involvement in single-session and walk-in service delivery models. Coordinate services and collaborate with the Yorktown Care Navigation Team, HRH staff, and community partners to optimize client outcomes. Facilitate parent education sessions and webinars focused on psychosis awareness and support. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:



Hold an M.S.W. or equivalent clinical master's degree, Holds an active registration and in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (RSW) or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (RP). Have a minimum of two years' experience in child, youth, or young adult mental health, preferably utilizing evidence-based models such as CBT, TF-CBT, SFBT, and CBTp. Demonstrate enthusiasm, cultural competence, and skill in supporting diverse, multi-challenged populations through collaborative, change-oriented practice. Exhibit strong communication, report writing, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with proven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and community partnerships. Offer flexibility to work evenings and provide virtual services, with access to a computer and reliable internet. Provide a current Vulnerable Sector Screening. Considered assets: experience facilitating groups, fluency in a second language, and access to a reliable vehicle.
