Ruth and Naomi's Mission has been serving Chilliwack for over 20 years. From handing out sandwiches to people experiencing homelessness, we've grown to three locations with over 100 staff, serving more than 500 meals daily, providing shelter for over 200 people each night, and supporting participants in recovery programs. The Role
We are seeking a
Family Center Administrator
to support our Family Center Assistant Manager with administrative operations and participant services. This role blends front desk reception, program coordination, and participant navigation to ensure smooth daily operations and meaningful connections to community resources. You will help create a welcoming, safe, and organized environment for staff, participants, and community members.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a friendly first point of contact for participants, staff, contractors, and visitors.
Provide administrative support including scheduling, records management, and reporting.
Coordinate clinic appointments and follow-ups.
Support participant navigation by connecting individuals to community resources.
Assist with food security programs, including hamper pickups and market donations.
Maintain organized storage and tracking systems for donations and supplies.
Summarize and share JOHSC recommendations, and assist with facility checks, fire drills, and inspections.
Answer phones, manage inquiries, and maintain building security.
Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
High school diploma required; post-secondary in social services, administration, or related field preferred.
Minimum 1 year of administrative, front desk, or client support experience in a community, residential, or healthcare setting.
Experience supporting vulnerable populations (homelessness, mental health, addiction) preferred.
Valid First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain).
VAT, CPI/Nonviolent Crisis Intervention, or de-escalation training is an asset.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $23-$25/hr, depending on experience
