Fall position running from September to December (4-month contract)
. Candidates be enrolled in a post-secondary co-op program and provide document of enrollment for Co-op term from University/College. The role requires the ability to commute to our Mississauga office, and occasionally to our Hamilton plant if needed.

The key responsibilities for the HR Co-op Student include:
Assist HR Manager with ongoing HR projects and initiatives and support on all administrative tasks
Assist with talent acquisition efforts by sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and coordinating the hiring process.
Revamp onboarding and new hire orientation
Responsible for keeping up to date employee information
Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
Collaborate in training initiatives, events, recognition ideas, etc.
Support H&S activities
The successful candidate will also have:
Co-op student enrolled in Bachelors or Masters Human Resources Management, Business program or related field
Additional HR training or experience is a plus
Strong knowledge of HR practices, policies, and local employment laws
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism
Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ethics
Advanced knowledge of MS Office including Excel, HRIS systems.
