We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our EBU quality process software development team. In this role, you will primarily focus on Python-based in-house quality process tools. Your responsibilities will include identifying and resolving bugs, implementing enhancements, and maintaining these tools to ensure optimal functionality. You will work closely with experienced engineers and gain hands-on experience in tool development, bug-fixing, and project management.
Responsibilities:
Work with the Ansys EBU teams to gather requirements for new features and improvements based on user feedback and evolving needs.
Identify and troubleshoot bugs and issues within the tools to maintain their reliability and performance.
Implement enhancements to improve the functionality, user experience, and efficiency of the tools.
Collaborate in the design and development of web-based tools using Python Flask and desktop regression tools.
Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to best practices, and maintainability.
Assist in managing the deployment and maintenance of the tools, ensuring seamless integration into the development workflow.
Provide support to internal users by addressing queries and troubleshooting issues related to the tools.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in Python programming, including experience with Python Flask for web-based tools.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve bugs effectively.
Familiarity with desktop regression tools and their development.
Basic understanding of software development best practices, version control (e.g., Git), and coding standards.
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Enthusiasm to learn and contribute to real-world software development projects.
Prior experience in tool development, bug-fixing, or project management is a plus but not required.
