As a Lounge Attendant in the Fairmont Gold Lounge, you will ensure all guests receive exceptional service by consistently offering professional, friendly, warm and engaging service. We expect this individual to have a dynamic personality and a passion for creating pleasantly unforgettable memories for our Guests.

What you will be doing:

• Set up food & beverage service and clear tables and counters in the Fairmont Gold Lounge.
• Ensure exceptional service to guests with strong concierge skills and knowledge of Winnipeg.
• Ensures all guests have a memorable experience.
• Demonstrate a complete understanding of Lounge policies & procedures and service standards as outlined by Fairmont Hotels & Resorts.
• Have complete knowledge of the menu and beverage lists in the outlets and all other special promotions taking place in the hotel. Knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods.
• To be able to answer any guest questions about menu items in an informative and helpful way.
• Responsible for up-selling.
• Adhere to health & safety policy and ensure safe work practices are followed at all times.
• Adhere to the hotel\xe2\x80\x99s environmental policies and procedures.
• Adhere to all allergy policies.
• Demonstrate service promise standards and values.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous Food & Beverage, Concierge and/or Guest Service experience in a luxury setting
• Serving it Right certification required
• University/College degree in a related discipline an asset
• Basic knowledge of Wine, Beer & Spirits
• Basic knowledge of classic cocktails and ability to craft them
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Highly responsible & reliable
• Passion for Guest Service
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Work well under pressure in a fast paced environment and must work well in a team environment.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and/or holidays.
