Ton role :

En tant que FAE, vous mettrez a profit votre expertise en genie electrique pour le commissioning, l'integration de systemes, le soutien aux clients et la formation. Nos membres d'equipe sont non seulement competents sur le plan technique, mais aussi d'excellents communicateurs et de bons resolveurs de problemes -- des qualites que nous recherchons chez notre futur collegue.



Ce poste est base dans notre bureau de Montreal (85 %), avec des deplacements occasionnels (15 %) chez les clients, y compris aux Etats-Unis. De plus, une partie du role offre la flexibilite de travailler a distance.

Responsabilites principales :

Commissionner et integrer des systemes electriques a l'aide des solutions OPAL-RT sur les sites des clients. Soutenir le developpement et l'amelioration continue des supports et programmes de formation lies aux systemes electriques, aux systemes de controle et a la simulation en temps reel. Dispenser des sessions de formation en interne aupres des membres de l'equipe et en externe aupres des clients sur les technologies de simulation et de hardware-in-the-loop (HIL). Fournir un soutien technique pour nos produits electroniques et logiciels. Assister les clients dans l'integration des systemes OPAL-RT a leur infrastructure electrique existante. Effectuer des tests internes afin d'assurer la fiabilite et la performance.

Exigences :

Formation :

Baccalaureat en genie electrique (prefere), genie logiciel ou genie mecanique.

Experience :

2 a 5 ans d'experience pertinente (les stages sont pris en compte).

Competences techniques :

Maitrise de MATLAB/Simulink pour ;a modelisation et la simulation de systemes electriques. Familiarite avec l'electronique de puissance, les systemes de controle ou les systemes embarques.

Langues :

Francais obligatoire. La connaissance de l'anglais est un atout pour la lecture de litterature technique disponible uniquement en anglais.

Aptitudes :

Passion pour la resolution de problemes, capacite a travailler sous pression, et excellentes competences en relations interpersonnelles et service client.

Competences supplementaires (atouts) :

Experience en programmation FPGA et VHDL. Connaissance de la simulation de reseaux electriques, des tests HIL ou de l'integration au reseau. Familiarite avec les protocoles de communication (par exemple : Modbus, CAN, IEC 61850). Experience avec RT-LAB, HYPERSIM ou d'autres produits OPAL-RT.

Your Role as a Technical Support Specialist :

As a Technical Support Specialist, you'll apply your electrical engineering expertise to commissioning, system integration, customer support, and training. Our team members are not only technically skilled but also strong communicators and problem-solvers--qualities we value in our next colleague.



This position is based in our Montreal office (85%), with occasional travel (15%) to customer sites, including the United States. Additionally, a portion of the role offers the flexibility to work from home.

Key Responsibilities :

Commission and integrate electrical systems using OPAL-RT solutions at customer sites. Support the development and continuous improvement of training materials and programs related to power systems, control systems, and real-time simulation Deliver training sessions both internally to team members and externally to clients on hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and simulation technologies. Provide technical support for our electronic products and software. Assist customers with integrating OPAL-RT systems into their existing electrical infrastructure. Conduct internal testing to ensure reliability and performance.

Requirements :

Education:

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (preferred), Software Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.

Experience:

2 to 5 years of relevant experience (internships count).

Technical skills:

Strong proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink for electrical system modeling and simulation. Familiarity with power electronics, control systems, or embedded systems.

Languages:

French required. Knowledge of English is an asset for reading technical literature available only in English.

Soft skills:

A passion for problem-solving with a strong ability for self-learning and independent thinking. Ability to perform under pressure, combined with exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills (Assets) :

Experience with FPGA and VHDL programming. Knowledge of power system simulation, HIL testing, or grid integration. Familiarity with communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, CAN, IEC 61850). Experience with RT-LAB, HYPERSIM, or other OPAL-RT products.
