Depassement et defis stimulants :

Dans le cadre de tes fonctions, tu auras la chance de cotoyer les sommites du domaine de la simulation et de travailler avec des outils a la fine pointe de la technologie. Tes clients externes seront les fabricants, les entreprises en ingenierie, les producteurs d'electricite (tels qu'Hydro-Quebec) et les operateurs de reseaux de transport et de distribution.

Ton role en tant que FAE :

Tu seras notre referent principal en support pour les installations logicielles : l'expert capable de diagnostiquer, resoudre et prevenir les problemes lies aux environnements systemes, aux reseaux et aux configurations clients.



Idealement issu du domaine informatique, avec un interet pour l'electrique, tu seras le champion des installations logicielles d'OPAL-RT et un relais essentiel pour transmettre a la R&D les pistes d'amelioration. En complement, tu participeras egalement a la mise en service, a l'integration, au support client, a la formation et a la generation de licences lorsque requis.



Ce poste est base dans nos bureaux de Montreal (80 a 90 %), avec des deplacements (10 a 20 %) chez les clients, y compris aux Etats-Unis. Le travail hybride (en presentiel et en teletravail) est possible.

Responsabilites principales :

Veiller a la bonne installation des logiciels chez nos clients.
+ Identifier et rapporter les pistes d'amelioration ainsi que les tendances observees lors des installations a nos equipes de R&D.
+ Participer a l'amelioration des processus et a la redaction d'articles de la base de connaissances.
+ Assurer le support technique pour nos produits electroniques et logiciels.
+ Integrer nos produits dans les environnements clients.
+ Realiser la mise en service des systemes chez les clients.
+ Appuyer la generation des licences.

Exigences :

Formation :

Baccalaureat en genie informatique (integration logicielle, OS, reseautique), idealement avec une orientation en genie electrique (systemes de puissance, electronique).

Experience :

2 a 5 ans d'experience pertinente (les stages sont pris en compte).

Competences techniques :

o Maitrise de Windows et de ses mecanismes d'installation, du registre, des variables d'environnement et de l'analyse de journaux d'installation.

o Capacite a diagnostiquer et resoudre les echecs d'installation logicielle de maniere methodique.

o Competences en scripts d'automatisation (PowerShell, batch, Python) et en environnements virtualises.

o Comprehension du fonctionnement des reseaux, pare-feu, ports et antivirus.

o Utilisation efficace de ChatGPT et d'outils d'IA pour accelerer l'analyse.

Langues :

Francais obligatoire. Anglais niveau professionnel avance (oral et ecrit) pour la communication avec les clients anglophones.

Aptitudes :

Passion pour la resolution de problemes, capacite a travailler sous pression et excellentes competences en relations interpersonnelles et service a la clientele.

Competences supplementaires (atouts) :

Connaissance de la reseautique Ethernet (adresse IP, masque, passerelle, proxy, VPN, etc.).
+ Maitrise de MATLAB/Simulink.
+ Experience en programmation FPGA et VHDL.
+ Connaissance des protocoles de communication.
+ Experience en developpement logiciel (Python, C++).
+ Capacite a creer d'excellents memes en moins de 10 secondes.

Achievements and stimulating challenges:

As part of your duties, you will have the chance to meet the leaders in the field of simulation and to work with tools at the forefront of technology. Your external customers will be manufacturers, engineering companies, electricity producers (such as Hydro-Quebec) and transmission and distribution network operators.

Your Role as a FAE :

You will be our primary Support reference for software installations -- the expert capable of diagnosing, resolving, and preventing issues related to system environments, networks, and client configurations. Ideally trained in computer engineering with an understanding of electrical systems, you will be the champion of OPAL-RT software installations and a key liaison with R&D to communicate improvement opportunities. Additionally, you will take part in commissioning, integration, customer support, training, and license generation as needed.



This position is based at our Montreal office (80-90%), with occasional travel (10-20%) to customer sites, including in the United States. Hybrid work (office / remote) is possible.

Key Responsibilities :

Ensure proper installation of our software at customer sites. Identify and report improvement opportunities and trends related to installations to our R&D teams. Contribute to process improvements and the creation of Knowledge Base articles. Provide technical support for our electronic and software products. Integrate our products into customer environments. Perform system commissioning at customer sites.

Requirements

Education:

Bachelor's degree in computer engineering (software integration, OS, networking), ideally with an Electrical Engineering background (power systems, electronics).

Experience:

2 to 5 years of relevant experience (internships considered).

Technical Skills:

+ Proficient in Windows, its installation mechanisms, registry, environment variables, and installation log analysis. + Ability to methodically diagnose and resolve software installation failures. + You are skilled in automation scripting (PowerShell, batch, Python) and virtualized environments. + Solid understanding of networks, firewalls, ports, and antivirus systems. + Effective use of ChatGPT and AI tools to accelerate analysis.

Languages:

French is mandatory. Excellent English skills (oral and written) for communication with English-speaking customers.

Aptitudes:

Passion for problem-solving, ability to work under pressure, and strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills (Assets)

Knowledge of Ethernet networking (IP address, subnet mask, proxy, gateway, VPN, etc.). Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink. Experience in FPGA programming and VHDL. Knowledge of communication protocols. Experience in software development (Python, C++). Ability to create excellent memes in under 10 seconds.
