Faculty Member, Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy
The (JSGS) is recruiting for a tenure-stream position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, starting July 1, 2024. The position will be based at our University of Saskatchewan (USask) campus in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
The successful candidate is expected to develop and maintain a highly productive research program, teach courses, supervise graduate students, participate in public engagement and outreach, and contribute to administrative activities. The Assistant or Associate Professor will teach across JSGS\'s academic programs (master\'s and PhD programs and several graduate certificates).
Candidate Qualities: We are looking for a new scholarly colleague with a doctoral degree in political science, public administration, economics, or a related social science discipline. They will have a research track record in an area related to Canadian health policy or social policy and the use of evidence in public policymaking in Canada. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate promise of excellence in research, teaching, and public engagement.
The ability to add to JSGS\'s research expertise, methodological diversity, excellence in online teaching, and public engagement will be strong assets. Candidates with training in experimental approaches are encouraged to apply. Experience in the public sector and/or other applied policy contexts would be an asset.

Details: The successful candidate will be offered a tenure-stream appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The current salary range for Assistant Professors is $99,945 to $120,099 per annum; for Associate Professors, the annual salary ranges from $120,099 to $140,253.
