Position Description, Job Duties, Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Applications are invited for the position of Faculty Lecturer to teach undergraduate courses in the B.Eng. Bioresource Engineering major and the Farm Management and Technology diploma program. This is a full-time, non-tenure track, teaching position. Target subjects are Mechanical Analysis and Design (BREE 210), Machinery Systems Engineering (BREE 412), Design 1/2/3 courses (BREE 205/490/495), Equipment Management (FMT4 022), and potentially Power Systems in Agriculture, Dynamics and Vibration, and/or Soil Mechanics and Foundations (BREE 418). An administrative component of this position includes student advising, recruitment, and retention, and tracking of graduate attribute data for accreditation of the Bioresource Engineering program by Engineers Canada.

The ideal candidate understands machinery used in Canadian agriculture and can teach the design process and hands-on skills to undergraduate students. The candidate must hold a degree from an accredited engineering program and be a registered professional engineer in Canada. The candidate must hold at least an M.Sc. degree with five years of experience in the agricultural machinery industry or another relevant engineering position. A Ph.D. degree, additional industrial experience in machinery systems design, and the ability to communicate in French are desirable.
