The BBA program will provide the breadth and depth of coursework to prepare students to be effective social agents in governments; public, private, and non-governmental organizations; entrepreneurial enterprises; and in further study in business and related fields at the graduate level. In addition to the baccalaureate degree, this program also offers Certificate and Diploma options.
Yukon University is seeking a Faculty Member in Business Administration to join our distinctive program. Reporting to the Chair, School of Business and Leadership. This position will advance Strategic Plan by contributing to the vision of becoming a thriving learning and research community leading Canada\'s North by providing inclusive, quality education experiences that equip learners to seize opportunities, make change and positively impact local and global communities.
This position is primarily responsible for developing and instructing courses, carrying out scholarly activities, and service to the university and/or their scholarly communities. The BBA program incorporates decolonial perspectives and Indigenous ways of knowing and learning, and we are searching for a faculty member who can contribute to the continuous co-creation of our unique business program.
Candidates should have a PhD in any area of Business/Management, including (but not limited to) Finance, Marketing, Accounting, Strategy, Organizational Behaviour, Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Logistics, Entrepreneurship, or any related or cognate discipline. In accordance with Yukon University\'s 2022-2027 Strategic Plan, we are looking for a scholar with a focus on decoloniality, Indigeneity, and/or Indigenous resurgence, or any topic that directly contributes to these areas. Additional professional designations, industry experience, and/or lived experience in a rural/remote community is an asset. Experience in teaching in a post-secondary environment is required.
This position is open to scholars at all career stages and ranks. Candidates without a doctoral degree, who have suitable knowledge and experience, may also be considered.
