Overview
The Facility Manager of Shane Homes West Soccer Dome (SHWSD) is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and maintenance of the full-size FIFA Field within an air-supported dome structure and related facilities. The Facility Manager ensures the safety, quality and customer satisfaction of the facility users and staff. The Facility Manager also manages the budget, inventory, maintenance, repairs and staff scheduling. The incumbent will at all times support the goals and objectives, policies and procedures and various initiatives of Benchmark Projects Ltd and their clients
Responsibilities
• Lead and oversee the day-to-day supervision and maintenance of the Shane Homes West Soccer Dome, including planning, budgeting and scheduling, work distribution/follow-up and monitoring working conditions.
• Develop and supervise the Facility Attendants; hiring, training, goal setting, and performance management, staff scheduling and the activities of the Facility Attendants.
• Develop and implement training programs for staff, with a focus on customer service, safety protocols, and operational procedures.
• Manage maintenance resources and establish systems for preventative maintenance, equipment maintenance, health and safety, security, asset management and housekeeping management.
• Monitor and maintain the quality and safety of the field surface, dome, nets and other equipment
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, policies and procedures
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and courteous manner.
• Track annual visitors, participant, and spectator attendance and provide reports to the Executive Director of Calgary Minor Soccer Association.
• Manage the facilities inventory of equipment, supplies, and order new items as needed.
• Assist with developing and implementing well defined strategies to build a culture of innovation and implement policies and procedures
• Develop and implement a building repair & maintenance schedule along with the Manager/Booking Coordinator
• Be an effective public relations person for Benchmark Projects and communicate effectively and courteously with staff, public, and User Groups
Requirements
• Minimum 5 - 8 years of responsible experience in recreation/administration and/or facility management at the Supervisor/Managerial level or demonstrated equivalency at recreation facility.
• A degree or diploma from a recognized university/college in recreation and leisure, business administration, or a related field is preferred or a combination of education and experience.
• A valid Alberta Trade Certificate of 4th Class Power Engineering is an asset
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, and the ability to work with a wide range of people.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills; ability to manage and resolve conflicts, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Johnson Controls Automation Metasys System, and ActiveNet scheduling software is an asset or similar experience.
• A valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
