Overview
Facility Manager will be responsible for keeping the Cobble Beach Resort buildings (Clubhouse / Pavilion / Cottages / washrooms, additional buildings) and Resort equipment within the buildings operating efficiently and to Cobble Beach's level of standard. It is acknowledged that it is not practical or possible to outline all possible tasks, responsibilities, and duties of the Facility Manager; however, as a guideline, Facility Manager areas of responsibility and requirements include, but are not limited to:
Responsibilities
Report to the GMRO, and keep the President, and COO apprised of activities through the weekly managers' report and / or as requested.
Will be responsible for the administration, forecasting and follow up with regard to all projects or tasks during the year.
Be responsible for performing general building and property maintenance.
Plan and organize the upgrade & maintenance of all aspects of each buildings structure (i.e, Plumbing, electrical, paint, mechanical.)
Delegate daily, weekly, monthly and annual tasks to trade workers
Delegate tasks to maintenance worker
Though certain tasks can be delegated the company appreciates monitoring costs and completing tasks in house to lower operating costs and expedite timelines.
Maintain heating and air conditioning systems, boilers, pumps, fan coils, thermostats, etc.
Work with department managers to provide solutions through best management practices
Train workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies
Requisition supplies and materials for ongoing tasks and future tasks.
Ensure smooth operation of office equipment and machinery, and arrange for maintenance and repair work
Overseeing hotel infrastructure to ensure functionality and safety
Perform annual PM(Preventative Maintenance) checks on hotel rooms and rental units
Prepare all buildings for seasonal changes
Assist in property development where skills are relevant
Complete daily pool and hot tub testing and comply with local regulations
Work with guests to remedy issues and provide a positive customer experience
Qualifications
Completion of a college or university program in any discipline related to Building Maintenance OR An equivalent combination of technical training and experience in Building Maintenance.
Several years of supervisory or managerial experience in facility operations or maintenance is an asset.
Previous experience working with pools, hot tubs and equipment is an asset
Basic computer skills
Understanding of general building maintenance
