Under the direction of the Superintendent, Asset & Energy Management, this position is responsible for the management of the day-to-day operation of various building systems within the City-owned facilities, including any repairs, maintenance, renovations and construction of the City facilities. Responsibilities also include the preparation of specifications, tender documents, proposal calls and request for quotations and responding to emergency situations outside of regular working hours.Essential Qualifications:Eligibility for membership in the New Brunswick Society of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (NBSCETT) is required. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office Systems, AutoCAD software, and a Class 5 Driver\'s License are required. Project Management experience is an asset.The successful candidate must have a diploma in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Power, or Energy Engineering Technology with a minimum 3 year experience related to building systems. In addition, experience in Energy Systems and construction management will be an asset.The successful applicant will be eligible to work a compressed work week of 4 days (Monday to Thursday) throughout the trial period of the City\'s recently adopted Compressed Work Week Trial.
