As Facility Assistant I, you will be responsible for carrying out the required duties involved in the movement and sampling of grain, and the overall execution of processes involved in the operation of the Grain Facility.

Your day to day activities will include:

• Contributing to the movement of grain by loading/unloading shipments;
• Collecting, testing, and recording grain samples;
• Grain grading for canola, wheat, oats and barley;
• Operating grain cleaners;
• Handling and delivering crop input products;
• Fertilizer inventory management and blending;
• Regular facility maintenance & housekeeping;
• Commitment to maintaining a safe & compliant working environment;
• Performing exceptional customer service duties;
• Other duties as required.

The successful candidate should enter the position with the following qualifications:

• 1 - 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a general labour job, preferably in agricultural and/or farming;
• Knowledge of hydraulic machinery & electrical an asset;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
• Class 5 driver\xe2\x80\x99s license;
• Ability to lift heavy materials repeatedly (up to 50 lbs.);
• Ability to work within environment subject to dust and allergens;
• Ability to work at heights;
• Flexible work schedule.
