Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in facilities maintenance and mechanical knowledge, with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain various systems within our facilities. This role requires a proactive individual who can effectively supervise tasks and lead maintenance projects while ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards.

Duties



The Facilities Technician works closely with the General Manager and other Technicians to ensure all facilities and systems are functioning according to Best Practices and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring compliance with all regulations. Assist General Manager in all repair and routine maintenance of the facility in accordance with SOP's and company safety procedures. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on assigned equipment and facilities including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems. Cleaning, adjusting, repairing systems and performing facility maintenance. Ensure facility is kept clean, orderly and safe at all times when performing work orders. Maintain work orders, reports, daily records, system documentation and maintenance schedules. Completes repair work using instructions, blueprints or equipment manuals as needed. Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair and troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs, identify potential issues and implement preventive measures. Participate in the cleaning and sanitation of facility areas and all equipment by following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations. Responsible for any assigned duties throughout the stages of production and packaging, may include; harvesting, trimming, defoliating, bulk product handling, pruning, weighing, counting and storage. Wear proper PPE and handle chemicals as per product SDS and WHMIS. Other duties assigned as operationally required.

Qualifications



High School Completion (or Equivalent) Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is required. 2-3 years directly related work experience (maintenance, custodial, facility support). Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems effectively. Ability to use hand tools and power tools. Ability to work well within a team setting and individually when required. Experience using computer systems (MS Office etc). Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 per week
