Nanaimo Ladysmith Public Schools is seeking a skilled and motivated
Facilities Planner
to join our Facilities and Operations team. This position plays a key role in ensuring our schools and support facilities provide safe, efficient, and inspiring environments for students and staff.
The Facilities Planner will support the development of long-range facility plans, coordinate capital improvement projects, and collaborate with district leaders, architects, engineers, and community partners to align facility planning with the district's educational goals.
We are looking for a professional who brings expertise in facilities planning, construction, or project management--someone who values collaboration, attention to detail, and a commitment to creating high-quality learning spaces.

Your Education and Experience
High school graduation or the equivalent
Graduation from an ASTTBC accredited diploma program in a related technology, with and five years related experience, and a minimum of three (3) years experience in project management or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Eligible for registration with ASTTBC as a certified technologist
Strong interpersonal skills
A thorough working knowledge of MS Office products, and an understanding of operating systems, networking and GIS software
Thorough and current working knowledge of computer-assisted drawing programs
Valid B.C. Class 5 Driver's License
Working knowledge of the trades as applicable to the duties of this position

$40.23 per hour.
