Insight is currently seeking a

Facilities Technician (aka Facilities Maintenance Worker)

to join our dynamic and expanding team. This is a full time, permanent position, where you would travel regularly between clinic sites in Edmonton and surrounding areas to carry out maintenance tasks. On-call availability may be required as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:



Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on building systems (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, equipment). Handle light carpentry, painting, and general upkeep outside service contracts. Conduct facility inspections, identify safety/maintenance issues, and submit reports. Test and evaluate appliances, equipment, and systems to ensure functionality. Support housekeeping and facility maintenance, coordinating with contractors and providing updates to the Facilities Manager.

Skills



Knowledge/training in trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical, painting, etc.). Physically able to perform duties requiring lifting, bending, and working at heights. Skilled with hand/power tools; able to read building plans and layouts. Proficient in Microsoft Office; CMMS/BMS experience (e.g., Corrigo) a plus. Strong teamwork skills, with ability to collaborate with contractors and vendors.

Qualifications



High school diploma preferred. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Physically able to lift/move up to 50 lbs. HVAC, plumbing, or electrical experience an asset.
