We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician report to the Facilities Manager and is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities, performing various maintenance tasks to keep our buildings, equipment, and systems in optimal condition, and contributing to a safe, functional, and pleasant environment for employees, visitors, and clients.

The role:



Perform routine maintenance tasks such as HVAC system checks, plumbing repairs, electrical troubleshooting, and carpentry work. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address maintenance needs, safety hazards, and code compliance issues. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations, prioritizing tasks effectively to minimize downtime and disruption. Maintain inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment necessary for maintenance activities, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage. Collaborate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs, installations, and maintenance projects. Monitor building systems and equipment performance, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings. Participate in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs to prolong the lifespan of assets and reduce unexpected failures. Always adhere to safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others. Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, repairs, and equipment manuals. Assist in general housekeeping duties, including cleaning common areas, removing debris, and maintaining a tidy workspace.

You offer:



Required -

Construction and maintenance electrical license 309A or Industrial Mechanics (Millwrights) 433A

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training preferred. Minimum 2 years of proven experience in facilities maintenance, building operations, or related field. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and carpentry. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely and effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance issues. Good communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Physical stamina and agility to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotations as needed. A valid driver's license and clean driving record may be required depending on the job location and responsibilities.
