Trinity College School is currently looking to fill the following position. Reporting to the Manager - Facilities Housekeeping, the Facilities Housekeeping Lead Hand is responsible for assigning work, performing cleaning and completing minor maintenance tasks to ensure that the campus buildings and facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe and sanitary condition. This is a permanent, full-time position working afternoon shifts.

Key Responsibilities
In addition to performing work in their own designated area, assign and review completion of work by other team members
Report any repairs needed to furniture, fixtures or facilities
Provide support to, and work with, other team members including security, maintenance and grounds personnel
Clean by dusting, mopping, washing, vacuuming, polishing, disinfecting or scrubbing all surfaces of furniture, furnishings, floors, walls and any other surfaces
Clean and maintain wax and polish finishes on floors, refinishing floors as required
Request and restock cleaning supplies and materials and provide routine maintenance on cleaning tools and equipment
Store cleaning equipment and supplies in a safe and orderly manner in order to maintain the safety of staff, students and the general public
Clear and clean waste containers and dispose of refuse and recyclables
Move furniture, materials and equipment as requested by the manager - facilities housekeeping; some heavy lifting may be required
Ensure all doors in assigned work area are locked at the completion of shift
Ensure staff have departed the shift
Perform other duties as required

Requirements
Demonstrate strong organizational skills
Possess effective written and verbal communication skills
Be able to multi-task and work under pressure
Have the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
Be able to perform a physically demanding shift requiring constant activity; moderate to heavy lifting; the ability to navigate stairs several times a day and perform duties that may include a ladder
A completed vulnerable sector police check

Qualifications
Minimum two years of supervisory experience
Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures and equipment
Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety and WHMIS regulations
High school diploma, at minimum
Valid Ontario Class G driver's license
