Job Title: Facilities Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Engineer with a mechanical engineering aptitude. This role involves ensuring that production environments meet all regulatory, mechanical, and engineering requirements.
Responsibilities

• Lead capital projects for production, cleanrooms, shielded lab spaces, contamination-controlled areas, and GMP-style upgrades.
• Be responsible facility upgrades, modernization, and preventative maintenance
• Oversee HVAC, vacuum, compressed air, and thermal control systems.
• Support mechanical systems installation.
• Ensure alignment with safety protocols, medical standards, environmental and radiation compliance.
• Support design, renovation, and maintenance of cleanrooms, hot cells, and production suites.
• Conduct onsite inspections and ensure contractor compliance.
• Support target processing equipment, shielded handling systems, and mechanical interface troubleshooting.

Essential Skills

• Facilities mechanical support experience.
• Experience with leading changes with HVAC systems (compressed air, filtration, water purification, etc.)
• Familiarity with clean room environments/working in an environmentally controlled space

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience owning projects and performing facilities gap analysis.
• Knowledge of building management systems

Work Environment
This position requires working on-site five days a week. The role involves collaboration in a dynamic environment where innovative production technology is at the forefront of medical advancements.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Ottawa, ON. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00/hr. Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in Ottawa,ON.
