King Animal Hospital is a privately owned multidisciplinary referral and emergency facility for animal care, founded by Danielle and Rob Scheinberg. Located north of Toronto, the 60,000 square-foot facility brings together specialists and advanced technologies to provide comprehensive care for small animals and equine patients. With a mission to ensure every animal has access to the most compassionate and committed care possible, King Animal Hospital aims to revolutionize animal healthcare and serve as a catalyst for knowledge exchange in the veterinary field.

King Animal Hospital is looking for dedicated, compassionate Facilities Caretaker with a wide range of hands-on skills to join our expanding team.

Responsibilities include:

Conducting routine inspections of facilities to identify and report any maintenance or safety issues.

Coordinating with external vendors for repair and maintenance services when necessary.

Ensuring compliance with infection control protocols and other safety guidelines.

Maintaining inventory of cleaning and janitorial supplies and submit purchase requests as needed.

Assisting with the organization and storage of medical and office supplies.

Supporting the veterinary team by performing additional tasks as assigned.

Responding to after-hours emergency calls

Performing occasional cleaning and sanitization of all areas within the clinic, including examination rooms, waiting areas, surgical suites, and common areas.

Occasionally monitoring and restocking supplies in designated areas, such as paper towels, hand soap, disinfectants, and other cleaning materials.

Occasionally disposing of waste and hazardous materials according to established protocols and regulations.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks, such as bending, kneeling, and reaching.

Comfortable working in a veterinary clinic environment and around animals.

Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, and handling of cleaning chemicals.

Experience in infection control protocols.

Reliable transportation to commute to the hospital is required. The hospital is not accessible by public transit.

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
