Reporting to the Senior Manager, the Facilitator plays a key role in supporting clients with disabilities through trauma-informed, accessible workshops that foster learning, connection, and confidence. This position also supports employer engagement by delivering sessions that strengthen inclusive, disability-friendly workplace practices.
The Facilitator works closely with Case Managers, Job Developers, Occupational Therapists, and community partners to ensure programming is timely, relevant, and responsive to diverse needs.
Responsibilities
Design and deliver interactive workshops focused on personal development, digital literacy, job readiness, and stress management.
Adapt content to meet the needs of clients with neurodiversity, mental health conditions, and literacy barriers.
Integrate trauma-informed practices and universal design principles to create safe, accessible learning spaces.
Collaborate with OTs and Case Managers to align programming with participant goals and assessments.
Support participants in building digital skills and confidence with online tools.
Co-facilitate workshops for employers, equipping them with tools and strategies for inclusive hiring, onboarding, and retention.
Track participation, gather feedback, and contribute to continuous program improvement.
Document outcomes and engagement trends to support reporting and evaluation.
Qualifications
Required
Post-secondary education in adult education, social work, career development, or a related field OR at least 2 years' experience in group facilitation within a social services or employment setting.
Proven ability to adapt workshop content for diverse learning styles and participant needs.
Experience facilitating both virtual and in-person learning, with a focus on supporting persons with disabilities or cognitive/mental health barriers.
Strong trauma-informed facilitation skills and a commitment to anti-oppressive practices.
Comfort with digital tools such as Zoom, Google Suite, and MS Office, and ability to coach beginners.
Preferred
Experience promoting digital inclusion or tech literacy among marginalized learners.
Background in employment readiness, career development, or workforce inclusion.
Familiarity with Universal Design for Learning (UDL).
Bilingualism or experience working with interpreters and cultural mediators.
CCDP designation, adult learning, or group facilitation certification.
