Role Responsibilities




Allocate resources and manage a team of fitters, welders, and machinists Plan, organize, and oversee daily fabrication operations Create and manage shift schedules aligned with production needs Monitor compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards Ensure adherence to health, safety, and regulatory requirements Lead, motivate, and support shop staff; assist with recruitment and selection Implement processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain equipment Drive continuous improvement initiatives across workflow, labor, and equipment

Required Professional Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications




10+ years of fabrication/manufacturing experience, with 4-6 years in team leadership Vocational diploma / CEGEP in welding, fitting, or related trade; management courses an asset Health & Safety Supervisor certification an asset; welding/fitting certification an asset Practical knowledge of ASME B31.5 refrigeration piping and ASME B31.3 process piping Understanding of welder performance qualifications (ASME IX) and NDE basics Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, drawings, and tolerancing/dimensioning standards Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; SAP knowledge an asset Strong leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills
