Prairie Eye Care

is a family owned business that has delivered eye care for over ten years. With multiple locations in Winnipeg and Edmonton; we are always looking to grow and expand our team!

We are currently looking for the right person to join our Optical team. In this role, you will use your positive energy to welcome patients of all ages, with varying medical and visual conditions. Assisting them with frame and lens selections that meet their visual needs and lifestyle. The right candidate will join a team with a primary goal to provide and excellent patient experience with top-quality care.

Eyewear Consultant Responsibilities:



Greet and engage with patients to provide a personalized experience tailored to their unique style preferences, lifestyle needs, and vision requirements. Assist patients in exploring various premium lens options, including coatings, materials, and enhancements, to ensure optimal visual performance. Conduct frame fittings and adjustments to ensure comfort, proper alignment, and correct positioning on the face. Educate patients on eyewear care, maintenance, and the benefits of different lens technologies. Collaborate with Optometrists, and Opticians to ensure accurate order placement and efficient delivery of eyewear. Keep up to date with the latest fashion trends, eyewear brands, and industry developments to provide sound recommendations. Maintain a clean and organized eyewear display area, ensuring all frames are properly labeled, sanitized and showcased attractively. Assist with inventory management, including tracking stock levels and conducting regular frame audits.

Qualifications:



Previous customer service experience Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to articulate complex information in an accessible manner Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with patients to understand their unique style preferences and needs Attention to detail and a commitment to providing a high level of accuracy in frame fittings and adjustments Eagerness to stay informed about the latest advancements in eyewear fashion, lens technologies, and industry best practices Familiarity with optical measurements, lens materials, and coatings is an asset. Experience as an Eyewear Consultant or Optician is preferred but not required High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional certifications or experience in fashion, retail, or optical are preferred
