The Ideal Candidate should demonstrate and will be expected to participate in the following responsibilities/duties (but are not limited to):

-Booking appointments

-Welcoming and registering patients

-Pre-testing patients (ie. Auto refractor, Tonometer etc)

-Answering phone calls with a friendly and professional manner

-Scheduling specialist appointments

-Insurance billing with Great West Life, Sun Life, Pacific Blue Cross etc.

-Accurately entering prescriptions/measurements into the system

-Operating Point of Sale terminal, via cash, credit etc.

-Maintaining a clean and organized office

-Provide excellent customer service

*Support for the retail store manager in the training of newer associates in all aspects of service delivery as per the company guidelines.

*Consistently treats all customers and staff members with respect and contributes to a positive work environment.

Qualifications Needed:

- Extreme attention to detail.

- Retail sales skills and customer service experience.

- Excellent communication skills -- both written and verbal.

- Empathy to be able to relate to all potential customers.

- Able to follow directions and be a self-starter.

- Available to work a flexible schedule that meets the needs of the business including evenings, holidays, weekends and call-in shifts

- Must be available a minimum of 2 shifts Monday through Friday and have weekend availability that meets the needs of the Store's business

- Some understanding of products and services provided at Specsavers.

- Computer proficiency.

- Reliable and Dependable.
