Job Description

Plas Tech Extrusions Ltd. is a custom plastic profile extrusion manufacturer in Barrie, Ontario. The organization offers group benefits, including extended health, dental and life insurance. The organization is looking for candidates who possess mechanical aptitude and is willing to learn the custom plastic profile extrusion mechanical process.

Summary of Duties

Performs manual labour along the Production Line; operates and troubleshoots Production Line Machinery.

- Ensure you have all required tools necessary for operation (safety boots; eye protection; pen; marker; utility knife; gloves; measuring tape; callipers, toolbox, screw driver set, etc.).

- Operate the Production Line machinery.

- Ensure extruder hopper has sufficient amount of material at all times.

- Assemble boxes for the packaging of product.

- Package finished product in compliance to Customer's requirements (labels, spooling and correct amount pieces of product per box).

- Grind any scrap material in the proper grinder.

- Troubleshoot Production Line machinery; when required.

- Perform die changeovers.

- Assist in the responsibility for Quality Control; make adjustments as necessary to produce product within specifications. Reject product outside of required specifications.

- Assist in production start-ups; shut-downs; trouble shooting; and die tests.

- Attend all required staff meetings.

- Operate within Standard Operating Procedures.

- Communicate with Shift Supervisors if there are any questions or concerns.

- Ensure a clean and safe work environment.

- Complete all required shift paper work.

- Other safe duties assigned by Plas Tech Extrusions Ltd.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 37.50 per week
