EXTRUDER OPERATOR

The Packaging sector has over 4,000 employees and 29 production facilities worldwide. We specialize in extrusion, lamination, flexographic printing and converting of plastic and paper products. You will join a high-performing team that is passionate about creating the perfect package, no matter what industry.

The Extruder Operator will be responsible for the operation and routine maintenance of our extrusion equipment.

This position will follow a continuous operation schedule working 12 hour rotating shifts (5:30am-5:30pm/5:30pm-5:30am). Four (4) week Shift Example: DDOONNN-OODDOOO-NNOODDD-OONNOOO (Days (\xe2\x80\x9cD\xe2\x80\x9d), Nights (\xe2\x80\x9cN\xe2\x80\x9d), Off (\xe2\x80\x9cO\xe2\x80\x9d).

What you will do

• Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by following all workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives including all first aid injuries, accidents and workplace hazards;
• Responsible for producing a quality product while maintaining production performance;
• Comfortable working with computers;
• Assist in troubleshooting minor machine problems when equipment is down or not performing to standard;
• Constantly monitor quality and waste for all orders being produced;
• Continually learn the responsibilities of the various positions to advance in the line of progression;
• Physical demands include lifting up to 40 pounds, walking/standing for long periods of time;

• Manufacturing experience is required and experience in blown film or flexible packaging preferred;
• Highly motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision and handle a wide variety of responsibilities in a busy and sometimes hot environment;
• Must be able to work twelve (12) hour rotating continental shifts and every second weekend;
• Must have own transportation as transit does not operate in area before 6:00am;
• Will be required to complete a criminal background check;

• Starting Rate $20.83 Top Rate $29.42/hour;

Retention Bonus; * Annual gainsharing payout with a maximum payout of $1,200;
