Position Title: Exploration Geologist

Department: Geology

Reports to: Exploration Manager



POSITION SUMMARY
You will be responsible for safely executing mineral exploration activities as assigned by the Exploration Manager for Heritage Mining Ltd. Drayton-Black Lake project.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in completion of the exploration program which includes a field mapping and a drilling component.
• Adhere to the industry exploration best practices and processes pertaining to your area/projects.
• Practical application of orientation of core, field sampling, geological software, geological logging, geologic interpretation.
• Liaise with other teams, fostering good communication and teamwork.
• Asset in completion of daily, weekly, monthly exploration reports as assigned.
• Complete detailed exploration maps, cross sections, 3D models, etc. as assigned
• Work in a healthy work environment with full support, cooperation and commitment to satisfy our operation\'s goal of being accident-free.
• Adhere to all relevant company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

COMPETENCIES

Formal Education and Work Experience Requirements

• Minimum completion of Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology or Earth Science
• Master of Science Degree in Geology is beneficial
• 2-5 years experience
• Valid driving license

Technical Skills and Knowledge

• Learn new software quickly. Familiarity with QGIS and Leapfrog beneficial
• Core logging and field mapping
• Able to comprehend and interpret technical language
• Relevant experience in regional exploration process such as mapping, geochemical interpretation, geophysics techniques for exploration, etc.
• Other Skills and Abilities
• Strong time-management and prioritization capabilities
• Good written and verbal communication abilities
• Outstanding organizational skills and strong attention to detail
• Capable of adhering to tight deadlines
• Familiar with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations for Mines and Mining Plants.
