Job Summary

The role of Expert Solution and System Integration is responsible for the successful deployment of advanced Telecom infrastructure, systems, and services. The Expert designs the solution and ensures that all business requirements are met by project team members, and contributes to the global evolution of CN\'s I&T. The Expert is a key player in the organization, ensuring the telecom technology delivered is secure, reliable, available, resilient, performant, and aligned with safety standards per business requirements, thus aligned with the architecture high-level solution

Main Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

\xc2\xb7 Creates blueprints and detailed functional designs (technical low-level design) based on existing patterns and solution architecture documents

\xc2\xb7 Estimates the overall solution costs (e.g., telecom, labor, vendor/partner, infrastructure, development, etc.) and share information with the Project Manager and stakeholders

\xc2\xb7 Creates technical diagrams

\xc2\xb7 Establishes deployment/migration strategy and guide project team and operations

\xc2\xb7 Identifies opportunities to optimize/improve current solutions

\xc2\xb7 Works with Project Managers during the planning, build and deployment phases and identify challenges and associated mitigations

\xc2\xb7 Analyzes test results to identify issues and recommend solutions

\xc2\xb7 Engages with internal customers to capture functional and non-functional requirements

\xc2\xb7 Documents properly solution designs, deployment instructions, test procedures, test reports, etc.

\xc2\xb7 Follow the Change and Release Management processes by initiating Change Controls and executing cut-over plans

\xc2\xb7 As required travel to visit field sites and participate to solution deployment working with internal customers/users

Technology Innovation Leadership

\xc2\xb7 Assists product managers to define the roadmap (hardware & software) based on CN strategy & I&T technology needs

\xc2\xb7 Continuously assesses technical and deployment challenges and report proposals to upper management

\xc2\xb7 Lead POC/POT in Lab to test new solutions, configurations, and software

\xc2\xb7 Works with procurement team and with vendors/partners to resolve issues and address present and upcoming requirements

\xc2\xb7 Investigates incidents through root-cause analysis and propose solutions for remediation

\xc2\xb7 Develops strong partnerships with Architecture, delivery and operations teams to provide feedback on deployment challenges/gaps

\xc2\xb7 Translate the technology solution architecture into engineering standards & specifications

People Leadership

\xc2\xb7 Engages & lead other technical teams to overview the success of the overall solution delivery

\xc2\xb7 Provides guidance, training, documentation about the solution and on required deployment tasks to integrators, testers and operation teams

\xc2\xb7 Drives design decisions that span multiple domains & teams

\xc2\xb7 Performs upper management technical presentations

\xc2\xb7 Supports and supervises change controls done by less experienced team members

\xc2\xb7 Leads activities to transfer new solutions to the Operational Support teams (T2C)

Technology Specifics

\xc2\xb7 Minimum 7 years of relevant technical experience in design and implementation of Telecom CORE Access and Data Center end-to-end solutions

\xc2\xb7 3+ years of software development experience in the networking domain and open-source network automation systems.

\xc2\xb7 Expertise in LAN/WAN technologies (Complex Routing IS-IS, DMVPN, Switching, QoS, VLAN attachments, Cloud Routing, BGP/VPC peerings - including Google-managed VPCs-, SPNs

\xc2\xb7 Good understanding of Security (Zoning, VLAN, VPRN, IPS/IDS, etc.)

\xc2\xb7 Infrastructure automation experience(Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform, Python etc.)

\xc2\xb7 Experience using API\'s to automate configuration and management of networking equipment..

Assets:

\xc2\xb7 Technical certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNP - CCIE)

\xc2\xb7 Cisco Data Center solutions

\xc2\xb7 Google Cloud Platform

Requirements

Education/Certification/Designation

\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, a related field of study, or equivalent work experience

Skills/Knowledge

\xc2\xb7 Ability to precisely estimate efforts and costs of a given project

\xc2\xb7 Leadership skills and ability to influence and guide others on technical matters and methodology

\xc2\xb7 Ability to work on multiple projects in parallel and meet deliverables dates

\xc2\xb7 Very good technical documentation skills

\xc2\xb7 Very good communication (verbal and writing) and presentation skills

\xc2\xb7 Proven experience delivering technology projects involving multiple parties

\xc2\xb7 Ability to clarify requirements and ensure solution meets business needs

\xc2\xb7 Strong sense or prioritization for meeting deadlines

\xc2\xb7 Fluent in English and intermediate level in French

Working Conditions

\xc2\xb7 This role may require occasional business travel in accordance with CN policy for meetings, for field site deployment activities or to attend industry events or conferences
